Bologna Prize (BOP 2020) to be announced online

Although the Bologna Children’s Book Fair has been cancelled, BCBF is launching a new online project to support the children’s book community including the award ceremony for the 2020 BOP (Bologna Prize for Best Children’s Publishers of the Year).

Werner Stocker retires as IPA Treasurer

Since 2006 Werner Stocker, member of the administrative board of Swiss publisher “Schulthess Juristische Medien AG”, has been active in the executive committee of IPA. He retired from this position at the end of the 2019. Stocker looks back at 13 instructive years at the heart of the IPA.   

Cairo International Book Fair Excludes Khaled Lotfy’s Publishing House

As Cairo International Book Fair starts today, one Egyptian Bookseller and Publishing House will not be attending. While Khaled Lotfy, co-founder of the Tanmia Bookshop and founder of Tanmia Publishing House, sits in jail serving his five-year sentence, his publishing house has also been excluded from the Fair by the organisers, citing security concerns. 

Publishers Circles trial off to a successful start
