Publishers Association (UK) report details diversity in publishing

The Publishers Association has continued its ground-breaking work into diversity within the UK publishing industry. Their latest survey reveals that while there are many positives in terms of women in leadership positions and representation of LGBT+ and disabled staff, there is still progress to be made. 

Statistics Galore: European and International Publishing Figures Released

2018 closed with the Federation of European Publishers bringing out its annual publishing statistics (on 2017 figures). Hot on their heels were a number of other countries quick to publish their reports for 2018. Read more.

Second Freedom to Publish Seminar @ London Book Fair confirmed

Following last year’s successful first edition, IPA is again partnering with London Book Fair to shine a light on Freedom to Publish challenges around the world. With freedom to publish under greater threat in many countries, it is not to be missed.

European Copyright Discussions Stall

With European Parliament elections approaching, the heat is on if the European Union’s Copyright Directive is going to be adopted before the end of the current term. 2018 was full of twists and turns and it looks like 2019 will continue in the same vein.
